HELLO THERE!

Let me introduce myself. I am Gavin Thomas, an emerging graphic designer with a long history in broadcast television and videography. I am currently based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. 

I am enthusiastic about creative, eye-catching design that tells a story. I have developed professional talents in using Adobe Creative Cloud and mastered the design disciplines in composition, colour, layout and typography. My earlier experience working over ten years as a Television News/Sports videographer taught me to be a team player and flexible while working under tight deadlines and juggling multiple assignments. I guarantee you no one understands teamwork, stress and time management better than someone who has worked in television

In 2021, I seized the opportunity to add to my skill set and enrolled in the Digital Media & IT program at NAIT. This program allowed me to weave together my storytelling and visual creativity. I am passionate about effective visual communication and excited about the prospect of contributing to the industry.

When I am not working on projects or my studies, I am running around playing with my camera, designing and printing fun t-shirts/stickers, collaborating with my wife on theatre plays, obsessing over everything Star Wars, learning and pretending I am good at playing the drums, and crying about my beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
